Case Studies
Case studies: showing by example key principles and processes of Healthy Spaces and Places Illustrating by the practical example of others is one way of demonstrating new or different ideas. The case studies here are a small snapshot of policies, programs and projects being undertaken around Australia that encourage physical activity through changes to the built environment and have resulted in, or aim to improve mental and physical health. As such they are practical examples of the key principles and processes of Healthy Spaces and Places. Suggestions of suitable case studies were received during the consultation and development of Healthy Spaces and Places from workshop and focus group participants, key stakeholders and project partners. The broad cross-section of case studies here demonstrate planning for healthy living, focusing on different target groups and development types and include a broad geographical distribution. If you would like to suggest any further case studies, please Contact Us.
